Dear Friends of the Persecuted Church …
Mehdi Foroutan and two others, Behrouz Khandjani and Parviz Khaladj, were arrested on Jan. 8, 2010 in Shiraz. They were released on bail before a Revolutionary Court convicted them of “crimes against the order” and sentenced them to one year imprisonment. Two additional members of his house church, a married couple, were sentenced at the same time. They were also charged with “insulting Islam.” In September, Mehdi and the others were summoned to prison to serve their one year sentence.
